"Toloring"

We started a growth board for Noah back in November 2009. We were so excited to make his first mark. Several weeks later, I noticed Noah running around with a handful of markers. Not wanting to pick a fight, I hoped he'd soon lose interest.

As I was finishing up the dishes, he came scooting around the corner, gleefully cheering, "tolor, tolor, tolor!"

This was a new word for me, but this "toloring" must be good. Since I couldn't understand, I asked him to show me. He excitedly grabbed by hand and took me to the growth board and began to show me where he wanted to "tolor!"

Oh no! Luckily at that time he wasn't adept enough to get the lid off the marker, otherwise we would've had a huge "toloring" mess on our hands! Crisis adverted...for now.
