Sharing a Pepsi with Pa-Pa
Pa-pa came over for a visit, so he, Noah, and Thomas the Train shared a soda.
Ryan is passing along his green thumb skills cause he sure ain't getting them from me! As they finished up, Ryan recalled the story of the time he accidentally hit his dad in the face with a pitchfork! Apparently he thought there was more hay on the end of the fork than there was, and it slipped up out of his hands at the same time his dad was bending over for another load. Ouch! Hopefully Ryan will have better luck in the future!

Ruggedly Handsome
I think my boy is ruggedly handsome! Why is it every time I plan to take pictures, Noah manages to het some king of gnarly knot, scratch, bruise or other blemish on his face?
This lovely gooseegg came from a fateful trip out to a restaurant on my birthday. Noah was jumping in the booth and slipped on the edge of the seat where the booth is curved, effectively slamming his head into the edge of the table. Not only did we get curious and "shut your kid up" glares and stares, Noah earned a nice badge of honor captured in this photo shoot when we were taking pictures for his birthday invitation. I suppose it's just another memory for the book!

Skid Marks
What is it with boys and skid marks? And I'm not just talking about the kid you leave when you stop your bike really fast.
I'm a good mommy. I clean my kid up thoroughly after he takes care of business. So how is it when he puts his underwear back on the streaks appear? Isn't he a little young for that?
It's not deep theology, but I have to agree with Larry the Cable guy that guys and gals just aren't built the same way in that department!

Learning Animal Sounds
Noah loves practicing animal sounds. His favorites are the pig (what kid doesn't love an excuse to snort) and the rooster. He gives a hearty "dooo-doooo!" We haven't quite got the "cocka-doodle" part down yet. And if you ask him what a pig says, he says, "Shooo-wee!"
Remembering warmer days
Noah LOVES to play in the water...even if his diaper gets saggy! He had so much fun running through the sprinkler. Just like a kid should on a warm summer day.
"Ake up Mama!"
It had been a long day at work. My jammies, the couch, a cozy blanket....it was all calling my name to rest my weary body. I had just settled in, finally feeling the pressure release. Aaaahhh...time to close my eyes for some..."Ake up mama!" shouted Noah as he grabbed my eye lashes, rudely jerking my eyelids open!
Honestly, I couldn't help but laugh! Where on earth did he learn that from? That's certainly not how I wake HIM up in the morning! Again, "ake up mama!" How could I resist? Long day? So what? My kid loves me he wants me to wake up and play. Life is short. Take time to play.
In fact, that is one of our favorite games to play now (Thankfully without the eye lash pulling. Nothing like seeing those grubby little fingers coming straight at you!). I love when Noah pretend snores. "Aaaaahhh....shooooo. Aaaahhh......shoooo."
