Brushing teeth is a big deal at our house--lots of excited jumping, the application of toothpaste, and even a good spit in the sink when finished. Just be careful not to leave your toothbrush unattended at the edge of the sink.
Ryan's habit of leaving his toothbrush within arms reach of our ravenging raccoon of a toddler came back to haunt him today. After the early morning yakking incident, Noah had to have an early bath. As part of the bath time fun, he brought his daddy's toothbrush along.
I had to momentarily step away to grab a towel, and when I checked back with Noah he was using the tooth brush to clean more than just his teeth. Noah's manhood was getting quite the detailing courtesy of dad's toothbrush.
Lesson learned: Never hurts to keep a spare toothbrush around.

Brave Little Boy
I woke up this morning to Noah coughing. I thought to myself, "Poor little guy" and tried to roll over and go back to sleep. But something prompted me to check on him "just in case."
Poor little guy. He had gotten sick all over his bed, and slept right through it--never even cried!
He slept until 10:30 this morning, and woke up as if nothing had even happened. God's grace is sufficient! I never would've believed I could clean up such a mess without gagging myself. Thanks goodness his mercies are new every morning and my little guy is such a trooper!

Fishing...but not in a pond
When the house gets quiet, you know it must mean trouble! This is the first time I caught Noah playing in the toilet--and his daddy's of all places! And yes, I did say the first time. Luckily the phase was relatively short lived.
From baby to little boy
Well, the blog idea was good intentioned, but I'll admit has been a little weak on execution. I can't promise I can do better in the future, but I do have aspirations of keeping up a little better.
Since the last set of posts, my little boy has grown up into quite the busy toddler! For those I've kept in touch with, you know that his two modes are "stop" and "go." In between he's sampled everything from dog food, rocks, paint, toothpaste, and whatever else he cleans up off the floor, with a special affection for "nanas" and Nilla wafers.
He's gone from happy grunts and groans to a language that closely resembles a cave man, but with a few baby signs thrown in the mix.
All the while making us laugh and watching in awe as he learns something new every day!
